Very polished game! The progression might be slow at first, but it's still pretty balanced overall, and everything from the audio, the art style, the UI, it all fits together really well. I wish the game could save your progress in some way because when I went back to the main menu, it ended up making me start over again.

this was really well done! Gameplay was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the progression of unlocking more things as the game went along. Nice job!

It's crazy the amount of polish and depth you guys were able to put into this game. Absolutely amazing job!

Developer

It really means a lot, thank you so much :-D We also enjoyed playing your game a ton, you've managed to really make a great and coherent experience I think :-D

Really cool game! The graphics and the sound are amazing! The stuff which you constantly bump into and move in the wrong direction is hilarious and adds a lot to this game. Not really something negative to say about the game.

Congratulations to this entry!

Developer

Thanks a ton, it really means a lot! We are so happy that you've had a great experience playing our game, it's super awesome :-D

Seems like you are already the winner of this JAM. The game is super cool, it is well polished and the graphics are super cool , i mean really aesthetic

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! It really means a lot and inspires us to keep working. We're happy you had a good experience playing our game. I hope you've had a great game jam!

What a funny and good game ! Graphics are really cute, and well done, every little details count. Same as the audio that is polished. For the gameplay, I am immersed into the game thank to the control that are easy. Very fast to understand and the game is balanced, not to difficult and not to easy : entertainning ! Theme is also respected, and because of the timer it push a little pressure and make it more addictive.

You should definitly add, sort of mechanics to rank or idk, something to keep players interrest on very long time. Have you thought about multiplayering, that will bring more and more chaos, and so very funny session with friends ?

In one sentence :  you did increadibly good !

Developer

That's a great idea! We are open to suggestions for potential future development, so it's really awesome to hear what you think might improve the experience.

Thanks a ton for commenting and playing our game <3

Really nice game but one thing when starting out the room is pretty cluttered and its hard to find the ingredients at first but once you find where all the ingredients its a pretty fun game I like the overcooked feel

Developer

Haha yes that can be a challenge. We tried improving the ability to push around objects, but we didn't get around to perfecting it in the end. But every game needs to have elements that can be iterated on, so we might look into it if we return. Thanks for playing! :-)

It makes so much fun to play it! Its so chaotic and gets harder and harder. I think its well balanced but you really don't need 3 cauldron for playing alone You can easy survive with one. (At least until day 19).  I think you could get usefull if the game should get a multiplayer. That would be so cool!

Thx for makeing this awesome game and letting me enjoy it!

Developer

Thank you so much! We greatly appreciate you taking time playing and commenting. It's true that 3 cauldrons maybe get a bit overwhelming, but we wanted to give the player the ability to progress. Thanks for playing!

Wow. This game can be released already. It’s so whimsical and fun. I struggled a bit with the controls in the begging, but got used to it after a day’s work. The controls make the game even more whimsical and fun, especially since the room looks like a mess after a day’s work. I also like that we can throw the ingredients, and if we miss the pot, we make even more of a mess. It’s great.

The sound effects, the music, the gameplay, everything is made really well. Good job on this one!

I’m on Mac, so it helped playing in window mode.

That really means a lot! We were lucky to have a lot of time for polish and balancing adjustments for this jam, so we decided to utilize the full period for once. Thank you so much for writing such a nice comment, it is super awesome to read! I'm also really glad that your gameplay experience wasn't totally ruined as the performance of our game isn't optimal on Mac. We spend the last couple of days really trying to push out every bit of optimization we could, and giving you folks all the options for adjustments so you wouldn't be left out.

Thanks for playing! :-)

LOL!!!! I had a lot of fun with this.
Graphics are awesome, controls are a mess AND I LOVE IT... Apprentice keeps running in circles leaving a terrible mess behind, totally stressed pushing and everything... I really enjoyed it, even the frantic but dumb movement. Wonderful entry!

Developer

Hahaha thank you so much! We were very nervous that the controls would be too difficult or unpredictable, so we are really glad that it seems to be alright. Thanks for playing, and I hope you've had a great jam with some good gameplay experiences :-D

Gorgeous graphics. Liked it a lot. Really impressive what you guys did in 2 weeks, congratulations. One possible feature to add is, while we are waiting for the potion to be ready, organize back our shop :P it hurts me leaving all that mess

Developer

Hahaha that's a good point. It is definitely becoming clearer that there are a small hole in the gameplay loop in the beginning of the game, before the customer count is increasing and you have multiple cauldrons or recipes. It is definitely something we will iterate on going forwards.

Thanks for playing and commenting :-D

Beautiful game!! The graphical polish is amazing and this definitely looks like something that a team worked on! The control with the mouse was very chaotic, but with the environment reacting to everything the overall feel is quite loose and playful, which is great! Also leads to it feeling frantic (title is apt haha), especially since there isn’t really a way to get ahead of it (like how in Overcooked you can prep ingredients to get ready for the next set of orders, for example). Also with the perspective, throwing felt a little wonky sometimes haha

Overall though great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for such a nice comment. It really means a lot! We are happy that the tone and gameplay have resonated well with you, we spend a long time trying to tune the flow and mechanics. It's true that throwing is a bit wonky, but if it is any consolation it used to be several orders of magnitude worse. There was a point where throwing had no honing ability, no added force and the hit box was waaaay smaller. Going forwards we have talked about maybe making some indication or pointer of the relative throw direction, to give the player an idea of how the throw will be.

Anyway, thanks again for playing and commenting, it is super inspiring to read! :-)

The controls are so wonky I cannot move the character well.

The graphics look so good it does not look like a jam game compared to the others....
Like the audio music a lot.

If the control can be more of a WASD I can prob control more.

Also a Restart button might make me rage less a bit TBH,

Developer

Thanks a ton for playing and commenting, it means a lot! We spend a lot of time trying to hit the right balance of removing control from the player, but then giving them alternative ways to play the game. As there is still room for improvement we will take your feedback into consideration if we are to continue working on the game.

Thanks again for playing, I hope you've had a great jam! :-)

Submitted(+1)

Great game! As a bit of feedback, the player could've been a bit faster, that would allow for more dynamic gameplay, but game balance is something impossible to sort out in a jam. The graphics and soundtrack are on point!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! It's great feedback that we definitely will take into consideration if we are going to iterate on the concept :-D

I hope you've had a great jam!

Pretty cool game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and commenting! We also really enjoyed playing your game :-D

Submitted(+1)

Wow this is a great game. I wanted to play more.

Developer(+1)

Haha thanks a bunch, it means a lot :D Thanks for playing and we hope you've had a great jam!

Submitted(+1)

Very fun game, the frantic nature of the game falls well into the themes of the jam, it is also fun to see a kin potion alchemy game and watch what other design choices we could have taken with our game, particularly the upgrade mechanics. Wouldn't be surprised if this game gets first place :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! I got so baffled when playing your game and it basically following exactly the same gameplay beats and core concepts as ours, its great fun :-D Thanks for taking time commenting and playing our game, it really means a lot :-)
