Really liked this game! The art direction was great and I'd imagine pretty useful in the programming aspect as well. The UI was really great and fit in nicely. Ran into some bugs that seem to have been mentioned already in previous comments. Nice work, hope it was as fun to make as it looks when playing!

JUST LOVED IT!!! Light, but interesting. Especially loved... uh... well everything! From animations to gameplay, everything was just brilliant. Kinda sad, it only has 5 ratings, I'll circulate this game to some friends!

If you don't mind, could you rate my game?

Developer

A solid entry. I liked the art style you chose. It was simple but effective and the way that things like the weapons sat on the stick art was a nice way of solving the problem of combining them. It was a clever choice to make the work you did for the jam go quite far. Over all I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Nice work.

HIII tysm for your comments!! We're glad you enjoyed our game and our wacky post-it note art style!! :D

Really like the papercraft artstyle, made the game super unique. The little notes everywhere gave the world a lot of character. That everything was so animated was pretty impressive, the way things were squashing and stretching gave the game a lot of life. It was a neat idea getting the water to damage paper, gave the gameplay a bit of a twist compared to a normal twin-stick style game.

I did run into a few bugs, which of course are inevitable in a game jam game, but I hope pointing them out is helpful. I had the menu open when I died, so when I respawned I stayed where I was. At one point the game stopped letting me pick up money, which I’m not sure is a bug? but I didn’t see a reason why that was happening.

I’d also say the aiming with the eraser felt a little off to me, as if the aim wasn’t determined by the middle of the player, but one of the sides (maybe a scaling issue?).

Overall a very different and impressive game, amazing how many systems you fit in with such a short time period (inventory, durability, shops, different weapons, etc)!

Aww tysm this is really sweet!! We really appreciate the feedback, it's really helpful! We didn't think of those bugs at all for this gamejam as it is our first one, but we'll fix them up and check for similar bugs in our future projects! ♡

Haha, I liked the concept of saving that poor stickman, the idea that everything wet could kill it is cool!

Took me time to handle the projectiles but I liked the idea, maybe adding an indicator of where it's going to aim could help making it more intuitive.

Good job!

Hey tysm for the feedback on the game we really appreciate it! We didn't think of adding indicators, so thank you for that idea! We'll be sure to include it in our future projects :D

Really nice game. The narrative is quite funny and the art and music are over the charts! The gameplay is fun but there are some improvements that can be made. The shooting mechanic is not well calibrated and the projectiles don't go towards the mouse position.

Overall the game is a big plus, with the paper world concepts really well added (UI, tutorials, characters drawn). Good job, and hope you do well on the ratings!

Developer

Hi tysm for playing our game and giving us comments on how to improve! We really appreciate it, and have done some bugfixing for the weapons! Tysm for the really sweet comments as well, and we hope you end up doing well too! :D

I enjoy how everything was just a drawing on a square piece of paper with the hints/story written on post-it notes! Not sure why they kept telling me not to trust everyone and the weapons were a little finnicky, but overall, pretty solid!

Developer(+1)

YES PAPER SUPERIORITY!!
But in all seriousness though, thank you so much for the sweet comment! We really appreciate the critique and have fixed up any finnicky parts of our game! Tysm once again, and we hope you do well for the ratings as well! :)
