Amazing game! It kept me on the edge of my seat every second and I wanted to know more and more. Very good art and ambience music. Everything together reminded me a lot of Junji Ito's work, which I love. Really impressed with this one. Incredible Job!

Thank you so much for playing and posting your feedback! I am so glad to hear you enjoyed the game. We are hoping to add even more to this in the future; we all loved working on it so much we want to make sure to add all the little ideas we did not get enough time to incorporate this go-around.  Cheers!

Fantastic work!

I love everything, especially the art style. Sometimes I want to hide the text box and just stare at the background. Is it possible?

Developer

That's a cool idea!! I can definitely work on implementing that :D

I don't know how so much dialog, art, and game play is jam packed into a week long game jam, this is seriously impressive (i'm still playing through the game 10 minutes later)!

A couple notes:

  • non-custom text is not fully wrapped by the black text border
  • When spawning into the scene where you can walk around for the first time, it was not clear that my character is on the far left side of the path. I did not know immediately that I had a character to move lol
  • I really like the custom text, but the "T" looks alot like an "L", and it throws me off when I'm reading

Giving this game a high rating for sure. The sheer amount of work that went in to the story, the amount of art and level of detail (including sound), and the overall length of this game makes this top tier in my list of rated games for this jam. With the ability to select though multiple dialog options, this game fits right into the kind of niche I have been looking for ever since I got my hands on a copy of Baldurs Gate 3.

Great work!

Thanks so much! The font is actually my handwriting and when I scanned it over to the PC I think it messed my t's up a bit. Hoping to be able to fix it soon, but our temporary fix is turning the custom text off for now (still need to fix the text boxes with that though.)

 Cheers! :^)

Thank you so much for the feedback! This game was a labor of love from us and I'm so glad you're enjoying it. Our writers are over the moon to be compared to Baldurs Gate 3!!

I've just released a new update that should fix all of the things you mentioned so I hope you're able to enjoy the game to the fullest now!

Great work on Hat Hopper btw!

Thanks for letting me know, I will check it out after I rate some more jams!

Interesting game! One issue I did notice was that if you choose the alternate font, most of the time, the text goes outside of the text box, making it hard to read. Apart from that though (and the other bug half way through the game), you did a great job! Congrats!

Thanks a bunch! I've just released an update fixing the issue with the alternate font and the one causing the game to crash so I hope you give our game another shot!
